Easy Piano Lessons - Piano Lessons Cost

Ever wonder about how much piano lessons cost?  I did too…

Summer is here again and I am faced with the problem of what to let my daughter do while school is out.  She is 7 years old and will start first grade in the next school year.  During the summers of previous years I enrolled her in a dance school.  Every year since she was four she studied ballet, modern and jazz.  She loved dancing so much that I did not even think of letting her try doing other things like play musical instruments.  This time I decided to enroll her in Easy Piano Lessons and maybe later on she can move on to other musical instruments if she wants to.

I prepared everything for this, I bought a piano and right now I am looking for piano teachers who live in our area so that she can either have her lessons at home or at the teacher’s house.  Finding a piano teacher is easy, the internet is full of websites of piano teachers that offer piano lessons.  I really had so much to choose from and aside from looking at whether they have enough experience in teaching piano, I also had to compare their rates because I also want to find an affordable one.

When you purchase a piano, dealers usually offer lessons done with headsets with a piano teacher close by to supervise the students.  The do this because piano lessons cost quite a bit.  But Grace, my daughter, can’t possibly study well with a lot of people around so this definitely is not for her.  Some Easy Piano Lessons are also offered to groups which costs around $25 to $55 a month depending on the number of students enrolled and the teacher’s expertise.  But again it involves a teacher overseeing several students which can be distracting especially to children.

There are also a lot of do-it-yourself piano lessons offered online and you have to purchase books and audio tapes for $8 to $30.  If you order packages with all the accessories needed, you could end up paying up to $350 for it.  While this can be done by an adult, I think it would be difficult for a child to follow so I decided to enroll Grace in a piano lesson offered by a very experienced teacher for $80, for half an hour each week.

The teacher has a master’s degree in music and is very good at her job basing on the several positive reviews that she got on her website and the testimonies of some acquaintances whose children has been her students.  Although there are teachers who offer cheap and Easy Piano Lessons at $40 or less, they are usually new and don’t have the skills that Grace’s teacher has.  Always something to think about when looking at how much piano lessons cost

This summer will be different for her as she will be having her Easy Piano Lessons at home unlike her dance lessons that she had to attend at her teacher’s dance school.I am keeping my fingers crossed, hoping that Grace will like studying piano and her teacher as well.  I really want her to become well rounded and learn a lot of skills.
